Two 'Behind the Scene' photographs which show where the skilled work is carried out.

All of the watering is undertaken manually using a plastic watering can. Tap water is fed from a hosepipe into a water butt placed near to where tha plants are growing.

The feeding of the plants is done by diluting fuchsia crystals and is applied with the watering can.

The spraying of the plants with insecticides is done by diluting the chemicals and applying directly onto the plants using a small hand spray.

NOTE: The plant feed which I have used in recent years is Chempak Fuchsia Food from Chempak products, Nazeing, Essex.

The potting is carried out on a table behind where the plants are grown. A 'multi purpose' peat based compost is used at each stage of the plants development.

Round plastic pots of different sizes are used. The pots are re-usable and the insides washed before using again.

NOTE: The compost which I have used in recent years is GEM 'Multi Purpose' Compost from GEM Gardening, Accrington, Lancashire.
